The Colt 1911 was my first pistol and my second weapon for my Final Major Project. My Final Major Project focuses on displaying my work using real-time rendering techniques, which meant that I had to use all my knowledge to pull off texture work to the highest degree. Using Unreal Engine 5 for the renders taught me a lot about the tools at every artist's disposal. I had the opportunity to play with custom camera blueprints, morph targets (shape keys), as well as creating my own post-processing shaders and effects where the default options were falling short or were non-existent. I wish to move entirely towards real-time with Unreal Engine 5+ to show off my capabilities, even if it means that I sacrifice that little bit of quality that could be the difference between realism and hyperrealism.

It has been fun working on something more serious that is meant to test what I am capable of after 3 years at University. With this, thank you for stopping by.
Unsurprisingly, the handgun was designed in 1911 by famed firearms designer John Browning.
A mathematically perfect turntable for the cinematic framerate. Why would you do it any other way?
